Who we are & What we do
THE SINGING PLANT COMPANY est le studio créatif fondé par Alexandre Athané et Josselin Delphin.
La société développe et produit des créations visuelles pour le cinéma, incluant génériques, effets visuels, animation 2D, illustration et réalisation.
Alexandre Athané est réalisateur, animateur et illustrateur basé à Paris.
Il a travaillé à l’international — notamment à Paris, New York et Londres — en concevant des génériques, effets visuels et créations graphiques pour de nombreux longs-métrages, parmi lesquels :

Il a également réalisé les bandes-annonces du Jour le Plus Court (Easy Tiger / CNC), des clips pour Universal Music, ainsi que des campagnes pour Converse USA.
Ses illustrations ont été publiées dans des magazines (Nova, Quo, Mixer, Max, Mixmag, Pride, The Hollywood Reporter), utilisées pour le cinéma (Amistad, réal. Steven Spielberg ; Finding Forrester, réal. Gus Van Sant ; Goosed, avec Jennifer Tilly), pour des maisons de disques (Sony Music, Rhino Records), ainsi que dans des espaces de vente et d’exposition (Metaluna Store, Sandrine Bourg).
En tant que réalisateur, il développe une œuvre d’animation artisanale.
Son premier court-métrage, Zoé Melody (2008, Dharamsala), est réalisé en animation traditionnelle avec plus de 10 000 dessins faits à la main, sur une musique originale de Marco Prince (FFF).
En 2016, il réalise L’Espace d’un instant (Suerte Productions / 120 Prods / The Singing Plant Company), entièrement dessiné, animé et peint à la main. Écrit par Vincent Cappello, le film réunit la voix de Pierre Richard et une musique originale d’Alex Beaupain. Il a reçu de nombreuses récompenses en France et à l’international.
Son dernier film, JUS D’ORANGE (2024), coécrit avec Chloé Célérien et produit par Nolita Cinema, en coproduction avec Animoon et The Singing Plant Company, réunit les voix de José Garcia, Charlie Bos et La Big Bertha.
Le film a été présenté internationalement, avec plus de 150 sélections en festivals et plus de 80 récompenses, dont le Jury Award du Meilleur Film d’Animation au 25e Beverly Hills Film Festival et le Spirit Award du Meilleur Film d’Animation au 27e Brooklyn Film Festival.
Le film est diffusé sur France Télévisions et Gulli, et sera prochainement disponible en streaming au Japon courant 2026.
